In the morning of July 20, 2022, HE Dr. Kao Thach, the Royal Government Delegate in charge as CEO of Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB) led the delegation to join the Regional Policy Forum as a Critical Vehicle to Financial Inclusion for Farmer Collectives hosted by Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (VBARD/Agribank) in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA) in Hanoi, Vietnam. The forum provided a platform for banking and financial institutions, central banks, development partners and relevant institutions in the Asia-Pacific region to discuss and exchange their practical experiences, focused on three key points: 1. Trends and innovations for digital financial services for smallholder farmers, farmer collectives and other village level enterprises engaged in agribusiness and its value chains; 2. Role of banking and financial institutions, central banks, development partners and related institutions to provide policy support for the implementation of digital financial services; and 3. Digital technologies and tools adopted by financial service providers to reduce financial risks and generate marketing opportunities for farmers.
