• Manage all facets of the database system platform lifecycle.
• Identify departmental strategic opportunities, strengths, weaknesses, and threats for effective planning and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate enterprise implementation activities and communicate plans to management.
• Determine effective data storage system structure using database management systems for robust, secure, and personnel-accessible infrastructure.
• Create database security guidelines, baseline, and change management procedures.
• Minimize database downtime, manage parameters for fast query responses.
• Tuning database performance to ensure availability for all bank systems.
• Escalate issues to the Oracle development team and third parties as appropriate.
• Update database changes as discussed with development team.
• Install or restore database for new environment requested by project manager.
• Monitor daily database uptime, data guard synchronization, and traffic performance.
• Manage backup and recovery plans to ensure backup files can be restored.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

• 4+ years of data storage and security experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and others.
• Familiarity with the best practices and principles of data storage and should be able to provide strategic direction for managing growing databases.
• Understanding data privacy and security is crucial for decision-making during backups and migrations.
• Proficiency in working with teams of data specialists, so the ability to direct and coordinate team members to achieve department and organization goals is a necessity.
• Database Security Administration or Oracle advance security.
• Strong Experience with RAC Administration, ASM, Active Data Guard, Advanced, RMAN, OEM/Grid Control, and Partitioning.
