Purity rice seed production has increased which is the foundation for rice production expansion of Phkar Romduol in 2024.

The working group of Department of Crop Seed of the General Department of Agriculture has cooperated with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and volunteer students to participate in monitoring the quality of field production of agricultural cooperative producing purity seed in Khnar Chhmar commune, Samaki Meanchey district, Kampong Chhnang province and Tnaot Chum Commune, Krakor District, Pursat Province to ensure that the cultivation and maintenance are really applied with the principles and standards of pure seed.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries, on October 3rd 2023, H.E Dr. Yang Saing Koma, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries who in charge of purity rice seed production highlighted that the number of farmers who participated in purity rice seed production in 2023 has increased, which is the foundation for expanding the production of Phkar Romduol rice seed in 2024.
